KPMG’s internal comms team approached me early in 2015 after my work on their ONEFIRM event in 2014 to produce a new style for their half-year and Full-year employee report around the UK.
Traditionally, the updates had been very standardised, in a very corporate template that didn’t capture the culture of the company and was failing to engage the younger graduate employees.
The initial half-year report was produced as an interactive PDF, dropping the corporate blue that KPMG lead their brand with in favour of the bold secondary colours and based on more playful illustrations and icons. Based on the success of this report, the company decided to invest in a digital deployment for the End of Year report. Building on the new style, I created the UI and worked with developers to create a responsive HTML5 site that split the content into monthly snapshots of what the business had achieved over the last year.
